Description |
A collection of hand-colored western lithographs from the "Reports of explorations and surveys, to ascertain the most practicable and economical route for a railroad from the Mississippi River to the Pacific Ocean" volume XII, book 1, from the expedition in 1853-5 under the direction of Isaac I. Stevens, exploring the terrain along the 47th and 49th parallels, from St. Paul, Minnesota, to Puget Sound on the Pacific Coast. Landscapes of camp sites, wagons, tents, Indians, rivers, and lakes in locations in present day Minnesota, North Dakota, and Washington state. |
