Notes	This municipal scrip was issued in Colorado City by City of Colorado. A line borders each edge of the note. The warrant number, date, and signature of the city treasurer comprise the left border of the note. The abbreviation ''No.'' is printed along the left edge; the number ''822'' is handwritten adjacent to it. The word ''Registered'' is printed beneath. Adjacent to it the month, day, and last digit of the year are handwritten; the first three digits of the year, 188, are printed. The signature of Thomas Mullin is handwritten before the phrase ''City Treasurer.'' The abbreviation ''No.'' is printed towards the upper-left corner of the note; the number ''1079'' is stamped in red ink adjacent to it. A dollar sign is printed in the upper-right corner; the amount ''55 00'' is handwritten adjacent to it. The phrase ''CITY WARRANT'' is printed in the upper-center of the note within an ornate design. The place and date appear beneath. The following imprint appears towards the lower-left corner: GEO. D. BARNARD & CO. ST. LOUIS. Above the imprint appears an embossed seal of the City Council. In addition to Mullin, the note is also signed on the verso by the city clerk and the mayor, whose signatures are illegible. Mullin, a native of Mississippi, moved to Colorado City and served in civic and religious roles there (Rapport du Comite Consultatif; Report of the Advisory Committee). The word ''Cancelled'' is stamped in purple ink on the recto and verso of the note.
