Notes	This private scrip was issued in Palestine by John G. Gooch. The following appears in a border design along the left side of the note: JOHN G. GOOCH'S LAW, Collection and Exchange OFFICE. The number ''25'' is printed in black and appears in the upper-left corner. The words '' TWENTY FIVE CENTS'' are printed across the face of the note: ''TWENTY'' is in red ink; ''FIVE'' is printed in green; and CENTS is printed in both colors. Red floral overprint designs cover the center section of the note. The note is signed on the recto by Gooch & Calhoun. The date, May 25, 1862, is printed. BC-459.
