Shown here is Il Palmetto , the estate designed in 1930 by Maurice Fatio for Joseph Widener . Widener rose to prominence through financial gains in the trolley car and financial industries and became a benefactor of the National Gallery of Art in Washington , D.C . and the founder of the Hialeah Race Track .
