Description |
This photograph depicts the Plantation, an estate located on Wells Road at Lake Worth in Palm Beach, Florida, and owned at that time by Byron D. Chandler and his fourth wife, the former Gene (Betty) West. Built around 1933, the Plantation marked the architectural change of Palm Beach estates from the Mediterranean-style designs of Addison Mizner to smaller, West Indies-style homes.
