Description
This photograph depicts the up 'Fleche dOr, ' Golden Arrow , coming into the Paris Nord station not long after the service started . The train was number 78 for many years . The engine of the first series (a Breville Pacific) has not yet received smoke deflectors and still is running with an 'armistice ' tender . Source : Collyns , Adrian H .
