Description	The Zacatecas mining district has historically been one of the most important silver districts in Mexico and Vetagrande has a rich mining history dating back to when the Spaniards began mining in the area. Collection includes two account books, one letter book, and an official document regarding the Vetagrande mining company in Zacatecas, Mexico. The documents illustrate the organization of the company, transactions and negotiations with suppliers, and daily commercial practices. This is Volume 1 in the series.
Notes	Notebook 1 has 163 pages. From the collection of Minas del Compromiso de Vetagrande records, 1788-1809. Three notebooks and one folder of 8 loose leaves. Each item also has been digitized as a.pdf. Material is in Spanish.
