All of the men pictured are bishops of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South (MECS), prior to 1924, including the pre-1844 bishops of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Each photographic portrait is marked on the back, "Copyright 1924, by / Elmer T. Clark / Not to be Reproduced."
