Description	William James Oliphant was a photographer active in Austin, Texas ca. 1868-1881.
Notes	Missing case. This cased image is one of twenty from the Oliphant-Webb estates. They were purchased by Larry T. Jones from William B. Bugg, husband of Mildred Webb Bugg, the granddaughter of Austin photographer William J. Oliphant. Mildred Webb Bugg's father was Texas historian Walter Prescott Webb.
