Description	Letter to Elizabeth from her husband, JHV, detailing his experiences doing Christian Commission work during the last days of the war, also meeting President Lincoln, General Sheridan, and his report of the huge losses experienced by the Confederacy. This is the letter where General Grant tells Lincoln that when he was in Galena, IL., he heard JHV preach regularly.
