Plain Text Transcription	Letter 66 [Handwritten] April 5, 1766 [Address panel:] To Mrs Wadsworth at Mr Ford’s Lodgings in the Vineyards Bath Somersetshire My d[ea]r Friend One perpetual hurry all this day has left me but a moment of time to satisfie your d[ea]r & kind heart which is ever so tender towards me. Nothing ever delighted us all so much as the dear young people’s letters but your not being well has affected me vastly. I dread you should suffer. D[ea]r Lady Ann I have been with in London to see today. She is bad of a sore throat & so many young people have died of it that I am quite in distress [?] about her. My poor sister I don’t know what to think of in body & soul & as for all the religions, I am miserable about seeing them going on. This with business has been the scene of today till this moment. I have a vast deal to say, but I wait for dear Joseph coming & who I shall go to for the moment he comes, but he must think me [p. 2] a brute unless he thinks I love him as well as I really do & he shines in my eyes as an angel to every thing I see. O! My heart does continually pray he may be kept. He has the only true spirit of a disciple. I yet do know a midst all that preach his master. My love to Stillingfleet. He staggers them all. O! may the Lord bless you to him more & more. Do my d[ea]r Friend, let me know what money you will want. I am miserable to know being sure that it must be perplexing to you. I shall by Monday’s post if I live write you a letter long enough to tell you I expect much light here to act when d[ea]r Jos[eph] comes & before I am in a wood dark & thick before he goes. You will hear when all things will be. O! my d[ea]r creature, take care of yourself. [p. 3] You are each hour I live of infinite value to me. O that I could see & feel mercy like you, but I don’t find any here, but what makes my heart & spirit hanker after you as a treasure upon earth,=helpers. Beg all love. Write to Miss Winter & Mrs. Erskine[?] and tell them I never can make them amends [?]. Their love to you is more than all to myself [?]. I am hurried to death.
