My
dear
&
kindest
Friends
What
must
I
say
, What
can
I
do
, to
explain
the
thousand
part
of
my
feelings
to
you
both
-
afflictions
seem
to
bring
the
latest
comforts
of
my
life
&
all
I
have
lost
by
sin
pride
&c
&c
seems
to be to
me
as
restored
a
thousand
fold
-
indeed
from
variety
of
trials
my
spirit
seems
so
broken
that
reading
your
letters
brings
tears
of
Love
&
Gratitude
to the
Lord
&
to
you
as
you
his
faithfull
&
most
kind
Instruments
for his
purposes
of
relief[sic]
to
so
poor
&
unworthy
a
pilgrim
yet
on
earth
-
I
have but
one
wish
&
that to
fullfill
every
thing
that
might
in the
Lords
hand
add
Blessings
upon
both
your
heads
&
these as the
only
reward
of
so
suffering
a
Creatures
Prayers
&
many
tears
when
so
loudly
call
for from the
bottom
of a
heart
so
evil
as hers
can
mercy
engage
-
Could
even
you
know
,
much
less
that
poor
man
F
, the
Critical
situation
I
stand
in
it
would but
prove
the
reason
why
the
hand
of
mercy
has
held
out
such
uncommon
supports
as
you
evidently
have been to
me
-
I
shall
be
happy
to
see
my
d[ea]r
&
kind
friends
Plan
for the
Heathen
Mission
-
it
Charms
my
heart
&
suffer
me
only
to
fullfill
your
meaning
in
all
I
can
do
-
the
barral
of
meal
and the
cruse
of
oyl
fils
in
each
day
of
famine
&
bread
&
water
would be
such
a
rich
repast
to
me
to have that
greatest
earthly
honour
to
all
my
spiritual
sensations
that
God
should
suffer
from
such
a
dog
to
allow
a
Crumb
to
unite
with
you
in
so
noble
&
so
great
a
witness
for his
services
-
let
us
loose
no
time
-
my
day
is
far
spent
-
set
me
to
work
in what
way
you
see
best
-
my
few
&
evil
days
shall
be
spent
in
labour
,
&
my
nights
in
prayers
&
tears
for its
Blessing
,
&
as the
marked
work
of His
own
right
hand
&
with that
Power
that
emminently
proves
it
his
own
Power
alone
,
-
do
you
bid
me
begin
. He
whom
I
would
serve
can
save
me
from any
blundering
Zeal
by the
most
humbled
faithfullness
,
&
so
through
all
his
own
Glory
be
preserved
the
most
evidently
for
our
Joy
everlastingly
-
dont
fail
in this
kindness
while
you
are
abounding
to
me
all
the
day
long
in
every
Instance
-
the
Work
abounds
so
much
&
my
distance
from
Wales
is
so
inconvenient
that
I
must
remove
my
College
&
to
prepare
by
Masters
for
Lanuages
for
France
&
Flanders
&c
some
large
house
must
be had
&
this
might
Contain
preparation
for
all
your
intended
services
-
Consider
well
of this,
&
let
me
know
your
wishes
-
time
will
shew
the
property
that
poor
&
yet
unhumbled
man
means
to
make
of
me
-
but
alas
such
vile
unparraled
deceit
is
for the
trial
from
our
dear
Lord
to
prove
what he
can
make
such
a
poor
unworthy
soul
go
through
by
various
sufferings
&
as the
worst
kind
of
martyrdom
to be
experien[ce]d
&
I
may
truly
say
in
body
&
mind
[some
hours
now
&
then]
the
rack
seems
little
-
W---
from the
pulpit
abuses
&
labouring
day
&
night
by
every
artifice
to
breed
division
-
this, with those
vile
impositions
of the
other
which
excludes
all
Confidance
which
when
such
uncommon
degrees
was
placed
must
account
for the
greatest
Caution
of
Conduct
that his
word
cannot
be
taken
,
silence
&
distance
I
sensibly
observe
but his
manner
of
speaking
of
me
&
the
ministers
Chose
at his
own
request
renders
horrid
to
me
-
I
mean
next
those
H
pointing
of
words
appears
but
too
evident
,
-
the
Welsh
are
my
most
attached
Friends
,
&
our
Plan
is
so
to
unite
the
principality
of
Wales
&
my
Connection
as to
render
it
but
one
-
&
the
same
Confession
of
Faith
, the
Ministers
abiding
in the
Churchs
, but
universal
in the
services
of the
Gospel
-
this
both
of these
miserable
men
abhorred
as
encluding
their
absolute
power
, but
five
&
twenty
years
of the
most
disinterested
&
universal
services
must
secure
my
honor
&
&
invariable
esteen
for them
&
the
sad
effects
of the
very
work
in
others
so
trusted
has been
wise
Instruction
to
me
-
thus
my
d[ea]r
Friends
I
speak
all
in
my
heart
-
blame
me
if
you
can
but
simple
views
of these
facts
&
which
means
this
only
on
all
occasions
from
me
to
save
from that
world
of
Woes
"
Woe
to them that
put
Evil
for
good
and
Good
for
Evil
"
-
No
accomodation
will
do
,
patience
&
endureing
must
be
my
Gospel
hold
&
by these at
all
events
be
found
ready
for that
call
my
life
&
all
has
&
is
willing
ventured
daily
for
-
Save
me
no
blame
when
you
may
differ
,
&
Blessings
follow
your
faithfullness
-
take
my
most
loving
&
kindest
thanks
for the
other
but
-
I
am
forced
to
add
your
af[fectiona]te
but
most
miserable
&
suffering
tho
ever
while
here

devoted
Friend

forgive
