Plain Text Transcription	Letter 126 [Handwritten: July 13, 1790] [Address panel:] To The Revd Mr Haweis at Aldwinkle near Thrapston My very dear Friends Tho unreasonable for old age to make any complainst, I am forced to say as my best & only excuse for your not hearing from me that the spasms, succeeded by the stone made me as wretched as existence could suport. These cease not but the temporary relief of laudanum allow me this present privilege of saying my thanks of heart follow you for your last kind letter. It is matter of true praise to the Lord to hear of Mr Chew as your satisfied helper & not less so for the honour of reproach he suffers. This post brings certain accounts that Canniford serves six weeks at Bath till Mr Glascott arrives & who thus kindly & affectionately informs me to save any difficultys to me. I truly rejoice that you are like to see Doctor Ford. He has been an object of my many wishes and prayers from a boy, that the Lord may bless him. His turning aside may yet be his return of praise. Robison is an honest creature who I much honour & now my dear friend, order & appoint all for yourself when you to to Brighton and also I will appoint for your greater ease one to read prayers & save every needless trouble possible. The sooner I know your time, the better, as the remove of my present minister there [p. 2] is anxiously wanted at Norwich, and could I satisfie them of _______ when all would run well. My poor and sore enemy & persecutor one Sellon[?] of this parish died last night & this morning my vote for Mead, Harrison and dear Collagen is alike soliciteated[?] Mead I brouht up & now at ____________ church great will be I find the disputes arising. Nothing affects matters here at present of this kind. The Lord has his people every where & such as are truly his I beg God to bless.
