My
dear
friends
You
are
ever
obliging
one
, the
ever
so
little
worthy
,
your
most
kind
&
affectionate
attentions
as
myself
.
I
am
delighted
with those
your
most
just
&
faithfull
sentiments
I
find
in
your
book
&
I
think
you
will
never
want
an
appeal
to any
received
truths
while
your
own
wise
explanation
(in
my
esteem)
will be
so
much
more
clearly
addressed
to
every
degree
of
simplicity
found
in a
rational
mind
as
your
&
ever
far
exceeding
others
in these
privileges
the
Gospel
to be
understood
as a
fact
&
enjoyed
as the
certain
possession
of
truth
is
only
wanted
in this
our
day
&
giving
no
man's
opinion
is
or
can
be as
adding
to its
value
&
so
leaves
its
own
excellence
as its
surest
defence
. If
my
partiality
to
you
supposes
that
your
opening
its
truths
is
all
it
can
want
with the
honour
now
upon
you
,
forgive
me
&
accept
my
thanks
for any
address
I
share
in
it
from
you
.
I
must
get
honest
Sheppard
&
Ford
to
send
me
all
the
demands
for the
young
men
. Any
little
present
that
is
not in
money
may
teach
gratitude
to their
hearts
but to
burden
any
creature
with
my
views
which
I
so
account
in
our
Lord's
service
my
only
honour
on
earth
will be
such
&
my
last
penny
will be
sweetest
while
it
goes
for him.
I
last
night
sent
my
offer
of a
thousand
pounds
for a
church
in
Paris
&
it
is
thought
it
will be
accepted
&
to
N[orth]
A[merica]
for
English
Protestants
so
English
must
be
only
preached
.
Six
chapels
are
building
,
agreeing
for or
finally
treaty'd
for,
two
of
which
will be a
thousand
pounds
each
&
one
exactly
after
Bath
plan
. A
gentleman
of
fortune
I
never
heard
of
out
of
Oxfordshire
was with
me
&
offers
ground
at his
park
door
. The
wonder
he
is
appointed
is
great
for this.
All
flourishes
here.
Dr
Ford
well
deserves
the
most
respectfull
esteem
&
is
most
highly
approved
as a
minister
, but his
enemies
are
many
&
mighty
.
I
had
got
thus
far
when
surprise
&
various
feelings
obliged
me
to
lament
poor
Madan's
sudden
death
.
It
is
supposed
a
suffocation
from his
lungs
. The
various
events
with the
states
of the
churches
does
make
me
still
more
strongly
presage[?]_approaching
confusions
&
indeed
without
a
Pentecost
or its
often[?]
forerunner
,
trials
upon
trials
.
I
know
not how
matters
in
future
can
be
reconciled
.
Love
to
my
very
dear
old
friend
,
your
partner
, this with
love
,
prayers
,
&
thousands
of
heartfelt
wishes,.I
remain
as
every
your
&
Mrs
H[aweis’]
Ever
&
ever
affectionate
&
obliged
friend

I
am
love
,
very
low
&
nothing
but
your
ever
welcome
letters
could
give
me
life
for
writing
a
line
.
Dear
Lady
Ann’s
true
love
