Plain Text Transcription	Letter 124 [May 27, 1790] My dearest friends Could You know how happy Your letter made me by honest Sheppard Your benevolent hearts would be glad to rejoice such a poor worm so near the Grave as my very many suffering hours Produce both from the Increasing Misery of the Spasms stone & unceasing thirst & sickness & the Constant opposition to all nourishment - & this while quite a spector of Bones only, & did not my best friend feed & become spirit & life to me daily, more Punishment there could not be than living a day longer - My support is only to go through those poor unprofitable little services now near fifty years engaged in, with the dearest & best of Lords & Masters this I yet Can do & with all I Call delight - I am glad should I live to see you both this summer & one intreaty I have to my d[ea]r Mr Hawies as on my knees that his Dear faithfull voice proclaim the Love of Christ at the opening [of] Zion Chapel, an eminent workman assures me that nothing is eaquel to its Beauty & size in any kingdom two months now will compleate it, & the Clergy of England & Wales Will attend you with delight - here then I leave it in the Lords hands With You - I am advised by my kind friends to stand still a little while to let the effects that Spains Politicks will have on France & at this I smile - & say What & Madrid also - O: for that Faith that subdues kingdoms to Jesus Christ for this my longing souls a thirst My shame will be I have lived so little for him - Cowardly unbeleif wounds deep - My plan for d[ea]r honest White- field['s] trust promises well that I have entered upon - it is upon sale & & the mony appointed in trust here and I hope for thirty thousand Pounds sterling as five thousand acres of the finest land on earth &c &c My own estate is about five Hundred acres & a fine situation & this I give for the foundation of a university for the Indian nations which will be built & supported by the money in trust & above all by my unceasing faithfull Banquet in what is wanting & whose the earth is & its fullness. I shall look sharp for your hint of more honest Lads for the South Seas, Doctor Ford opens with Mr Kirkman at Fordham in Suffolk a New Chapel & a wonderfull stand for thousands & is yet not returned to give me the happy Privileges of rejoicing your hearts by the Blessed news they most surely will bring five more for opening this summer in different countys is agreeing for or begun - the accounts d[ea]r honest Sheppard gives me about your Zeal & labours bid me forget all my Pains the Lord of life and glory will be a sweet & Precious Payment to your happy soul in the great distress of a spasm.
