From R. Caldwell in Bath, Somerset, to T.H. at the Chapel House in Spa Fields, London. He has waited some time so that he might speak with some certainty of affairs here. He can report that there is harmony, revival and rejoicing. Caldwell’s health is reasonable, though he finds the work quite hard. Mr Atwood esq. has been over to hear him preach and Caldwell will speak in his place next week. Mr Tully has asked Caldwell to enquire whether T.H. received his letter relative to John? In a postscript, he adds that the ‘committee gentlemen’ are all well disposed towards Caldwell. (1 sheet, 1p.) 21 July 1795 |
