Description	A portfolio of photographs housed in an elaborate brown gilt embossed case with the initials, "LE" in the center, perhaps for Lemberg Eisenbahn. The portfolio depicts the Lemberg-Czernowitz Railway and was probably made to comemorate its opening. Included are views of landscapes, railroad depots, equipment, bridges and other structures in what was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and Poland but is now part of the Ukraine. Images are of such cities as Lemberg, Halicz, Kolomea, Stanislau, Czernowitz, and the Bystrzyza, Dniester and Pruth Rivers.
