Transcription	[Address] Mr William Russel Music Master at Guildford Surry Dear Will We were quite tantalized by a glimpse of you in town. When you come for another instrument, we may possibly get another glimpse. But when will you come to stay 3 days with us? Cannot you allow yourself a few holidays this Christmas? What pity it is you cannot avail yourself of your two musical friends? You find time and they will find instruction sufficient to make you master of your art. Charles requests you to send him (what he will keep to himself, only showing it to Baker Harris for his own advantage) an account of your gains by bespeaking instruments from for others. You buy them of Kirkman at Master’s price. Send us the different prizes[sic] of different instruments. If Harris will not make nearly the same allowance, he cannot wonder that Charles should change his harpsichord-maker. You will neither wonder nor be sorry to hear that It is Proposed by Messrs Charles and Sam Wesley To have every other Thursday at their own house An Entertainment of their own music chiefly consisting of Overtures, Concertos, Quartettos, Duets for 2 organs, Solos, Extempore Voluntaries, etc. The number of the subscribers 14 The price for six nights three guineas The music begins while the clock is striking SEVEN The First Concert on Thursday, January 14, 1779 Plan of the First Night 1.
