Description |
Carte de visite is presumably a post-war copy of a cased image. Alf Davis served under battery commander James P. Douglas as a member of the Douglas First Texas Battery, variously known as the Dallas Light Artillery, the Good-Douglas Battery, and Douglas's Battery, which became the only unit of Texas artillery to serve east of the Mississippi River. |
