Plain Text Transcription	Letter #50 [Handwritten] Double letter March 7, 1765 [Address panel:] To Mrs Wadsworth at the Revd Mr Townshend's at Pewsey, Near the Devises Wiltshire [On back of address panel L.H. wrote the following list of names:] Mary Beach Jane Colling Mary Dean Mary Williard Prudence Smart [Letter, not in the Countess's hand:] To our dear Wiltshire Sisters As we hear with joy that the same grace which has found our poor sinful Hearts in Sussex and which makes us Long to become the Little Children of Jesus Christ is Powerful also in drawing your dear hearts after him and as our prayers and wishes are to be a part of this Blessed Family of his, so we desire to be realy one with you in that Love & Fellowship of his Spirit which he vouch-safs to sinners and such as we all ever found before him. your unworthy but most Loving Sister Marcy Beach thinks herself bound to Prayse his Mercy for you and for us all in haveing separated us from this world & encourageing us by his Promise that if we seek him early he will be found of us. O that we may be thankful to him for his Love and be earnest with that dear Jesus to shew us the Evil of our own hearts that we may fly to him and embrace by Faith our most precious Saviour of Sinners. though we are far absent from you our dear Sisters may we never forget to meet in Faith & Prayer before his feet together with hear[t]s of Love & shame that his Blood should be shed for such Rebels and who are now made nigh by his Cross. Your Poor unworthy Sister Jane Colings also begs to rejoice with you and express her desire for you that we may seek the ever blessed Jesus with our whole hearts and that he would enable us to press forward to himself that rock which never faileth. Mary Dean, Mary Williard, Prudence Smart with about 30: more of our dear Sisters Pray for you that we may all become true followers of the Blessed Lamb of God through whose merits may we all be found to meet together at his right hand with joy in the Last Day. We shou'd be glad to hear how the Lord Blesses your dear hearts by his Loving Presence. We beg our Prayers that none among us may ever turn back from him that speaketh from Heaven and so grieve the tender Saviour's heart, the Heart of his People and in particular those of our dear helpers who watch over our souls for good & with whom we remain. March 7th 1765 [Letter 50, cont.) March 7 (1765) My dearest Madam I have felt most thankfull for Your & D[ea]r Mr Townshend's most kind letters. Wishing ever all prosperity to your labours at Pewsey & which, without knowing why, I feel most exceedingly interested for The Gospel in general seems so important as to swaller up any partial wishes as to places as the souls of men are eaqually precious, yet, Pewsey's prosperity I long after & so happy was my dear children upon hearing of the work that is begun that they become impatient for their heart fellowship to be expressed. We have some precious ones among them. They [come?] every day & we have almost as large a [“ “?] of these of fourteen & sixteen as of the children. Mary Beach & Jane Collins are my helpers for all the most miserable & poorest children of the place & grace we trust is coming over the hearts of many of these outcasts; also the forms[?]. Mary Beach is turned 12 years old. Boys I have some. The Lord Blesses & prospers the work here & two fresh doors opened within this for[t]night. Great threatnings of all sides but the Lord is King. I grieve I am not to hope to see you but O! what is best shall be. Something will bring d[ea]r Mr Townshend among us. [p. 2] Say every thing that is kind to d[ea]r Mr Townshend. With my message & that the people's hearts here are after him as if he was to be a blessing & the wonder themselves at it as they don't know him yet long for his coming, & for this reason I think he will be made to come or he will be well scourged. Remember [me] to all the poor people. I long to know how they __________? I have a bed for you in my house & and good one for him at a house whose whole family are of one heart & mind.
