
Horton Foote: Photographs and Manuscripts provides a sample of the photographs, images, albums, and more, relating to American author and playwright Horton Foote that are held by SMU's DeGolyer Library. These items depict Horton Foote's life and career.
SMU's Horton Foote papers, circa 1900-2001, comprises close to 200 boxes of material documenting the career of the Academy Award winning screenwriter and Pulitzer Prize winning playwright. The collection includes manuscripts, scrapbooks, handwritten drafts of screenplays, diaries, letters, photographs, and family memorabilia of the Wharton, Texas native who spent over 60 years in film, stage, and television.
The digital collection contains a variety of images and photographs of Horton Foote, his family, and his career. Some images are only available on campus at SMU due to copyright restraints.
